Texas employs the second highest number of electricians and helpers in the nation, which is no surprise since the state is first in the nation for construction opportunities. With 2,870 electrician and apprentice jobs opening in Texas each year for the next seven years, you have a bright future ahead.

In the Electrical Construction Technology, you’ll learn residential and commercial wiring systems requiring extensive hands-on work with electrical distribution and service applications. You’ll also have training and internship opportunities to earn licenses specific to the electrical field. As a graduate, you’ll qualify for positions such as commercial building maintenance electrician, construction electrician, electrical contractor, electrical maintenance technician, industrial maintenance electrician, residential electrician and sales representative.

The TSTC campus in Fort Bend County has received the all-clear. The campus was evacuated at the recommendation of the Rosenberg P.D. as they investigated a threat. TSTC took immediate action to ensure the safety of its students and employees, and therefore the campus was closed as a precaution. The Fort Bend County campus will reopen for classes as scheduled Wednesday, May 23.
