(ROSENBERG, Texas) – Graduates from Texas State Technical College’s Fort Bend County campus and their families and friends attended TSTC’s Spring 2025 Commencement held Wednesday, April 23, at the Stafford Centre in Stafford.
Kori Bowen, vice president of industry relations at TSTC, gave the speech welcoming everyone to the event.
“Tonight is a night that will change the graduates, their futures, and even you,” she said.
Each of the 109 graduates received either an Associate of Applied Science degree or a certificate of completion in their respective programs. It was another step along their journey toward a stable career, and, for some, it was also a step closer to being the person they dreamed of.
Noah Ysaguirre, a graduate of the HVAC Technology program, shared that he felt inspired by a higher power to take the step of attending college.
“I had been working in the service industry for a long time,” he said. “I was mostly content, but I felt like God wanted to lead me to a better outcome.”
Ysaguirre ended up choosing the HVAC program at TSTC after trying a few other colleges. He said TSTC was a much better experience and education for him.
“The flexibility was great, and it felt like I was with a family,” he said. “TSTC has been a great school and has given me the ability to make plans for my future.”
Ysaguirre graduated with his associate degree. He plans to work in the industry locally before heading back to his hometown of Brownsville.
