Additional Information

Once you have completed your online application, we may need more information. Depending on the category under which you qualify for readmission, you may need to submit the following documents.

  • Official transcripts from all institutions of higher education you attended since you last attended TSTC.
  • Updated bacterial meningitis vaccination information: Students under age 22 must present documentation of a bacterial meningitis vaccination required by Texas Senate Bill 62.

All prospective TSTC students, unless exempt or waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) testing requirements, must take the TSI Assessment before enrolling at TSTC.

The Testing Office can evaluate high school transcripts with STAAR, TAKS, SAT, ACT scores, and college transcripts to determine if you meet TSI requirements.

performance-based education

Get ready for the performance of your career.

Performance-Based Education, or PBE, is the name of TSTC’s course-based Competency-Based Education (CBE) initiative. This modality will help you to focus on mastery of specified industry skills or competencies. It is often self-directed and is conducted either fully online or in a blended learning environment that flips traditional lecture to online and places the emphasis on hands-on learning in a technical lab environment.
