(NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas) – Texas State Technical College’s New Braunfels campus hosted state Rep.-elect Alan Schoolcraft, R-McQueeney, for a tour on Monday, Dec. 16.
“I’m excited about the expansion,” Schoolcraft said of the college’s announcement of building a campus on the Texas Highway 46 corridor. “I trust TSTC to choose programs that are best for the region.”
Kim Johnson, TSTC New Braunfels’ campus operations senior coordinator, thought Schoolcraft’s walkthrough of the labs went well.
“I think it gave him a good idea of what we are, and who we are,” Johnson said.
Mike Anderson, provost of TSTC’s New Braunfels campus, is optimistic about the new relationship with the representative-elect.
“I am thankful Rep.-elect Schoolcraft made the time to visit the campus today,” Anderson said. “I look forward to working with him on strengthening the workforce in this region.”
Schoolcraft will represent House District 44, which encompasses Gonzales and Guadalupe counties. He will begin his term when the Texas Legislature opens session next month.
The tour was coordinated by TSTC’s Government Relations department.
