Housing Options
Living on one of our statewide college campuses can be a great part of life at TSTC, where you get to live in close proximity to other students outside of the classroom. We offer a variety of residential options in different types of housing and provide you with opportunities for social interaction, interpersonal relationships and cultural activities.
Residential living is an important part of being a student and can enrich your college experience. We encourage you to join in student housing at TSTC and immerse yourself in new friendships, ideas and cultural diversity.

Harlingen Campus
- You can apply for housing online.
- Download the TSTC Harlingen housing background check form at the bottom of this page, and return to the Harlingen Student Housing office.
- For an application to be complete, a student must submit a non-refundable application fee of $40* and a refundable deposit of $200. *Please note that beginning on June 1, 2024, there has been an increase in the cost of the non-refundable Housing Application Fee.
- Students under the age of 21 at entry into housing will be REQUIRED to purchase a meal plan for the first TWO (2) semesters that they reside in on-campus housing. TSTC Meal Plans begin at $781/semester. For more information on meal plans, please visit: https://www.tstc.edu/campus-housing/meal-plans
- Limited single-occupancy units may be available each semester, space allowing.
- Family housing is available. At least one member of household must be a full-time student (6+ credit hours).
Whether you’re a traditional student looking for the college dorm life experience or a non-traditional student with a family or spouse, the Oak Tree Apartments are a great place to call home.
The Oak Tree Apartments house up to four people and come with standard twin beds, built-in desks and standard appliances including a refrigerator and stove. All regular utilities are included in the rent.
Single Occupancy Rate: $1,329
Dormitory living couldn’t be easier than at the Las Palmas dorms. The efficiency units are furnished with two standard twin beds, study desks, a mini-refrigerator and a microwave. With a shared private bathroom, you and your roommate still have the privacy you need while sharing a living space.

Marshall Campus
You can now submit your Marshall Housing Application for Spring 2025 entirely online!
For an application to be complete, a student must:
- Finish the online application, including submitting a background waiver to housing@marshall.tstc.edu.
- Background Waiver for Spring 2025
- Submit a copy of their license to housing@marshall.tstc.edu.
- Pay the $200 refundable deposit and the $40 non-refundable application fee with Accounting at 903-923-3218.For more information, please contact the Director of Housing/Residence Life & Engagement at 903-923-3467 or e-mail housing@marshall.tstc.edu.

Make your living on campus as convenient as living at home. Our spacious floor plans at the Marshall Apartments provide you privacy while still allowing for open concept living with your roommates. Enjoy a shared kitchen, living room, and dining room. Our apartment building includes a community game room where you can watch TV with your friends or play a game of pool.
At the Marshall Apartments, there are two options for housing: two or four-bedroom apartments. Apartments are available to serve handicapped and hearing impaired students.

All housing options include a meal plan with 15 meals per week. Nursing students have reduced meal costs due to off-site clinicals.
All students must reside on campus or in auxiliary campus housing, unless they are exempt, based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Over the age of 21
- Married
- Parent or legal guardian of child/children within a 50-mile radius of the TSTC Sweetwater Campus as determined by the Texas State Mileage guide and interpreted by the Director of Student Life. Special circumstances are approved by the Director of Housing.
- Have a health condition that requires special medical attention and/or facilities are unavailable on campus or in auxiliary campus housing.

The WASP, Rolling Plains and Avenger apartments in Sweetwater offer you all of the comforts of apartment living. Each building features eight apartments, with two bedroom units that can accommodate up to two students each, with one shared bathroom and a full-size kitchen. With Internet, water and the first $100 of the monthly electric bill included in the monthly rent, it’s a very reasonable way to go!

If you’re looking for cozy apartment living with lots of privacy, consider living at the Lodges.
These lodges are built in small quadrants so you get a community feel, but also the privacy you need. Each lodge comes with your own in-room sink and a shared bathroom.
The Cedar, Mesquite, Oak and Pecan lodges each have nine units, with two bedrooms and one bathroom per unit. Each bedroom can accommodate one student.

Waco Campus

Living on campus in the Red River Apartments is a great way for you to meet other TSTC students who are pursuing similar careers. It’s close, convenient and is a great place for students to call home.
Located across from the Student Recreation Center, and close to the Student Services Center, there is quick and easy access to the game room, fitness facility, gymnasium, basketball courts and softball fields.
The Red River Apartments include:
- Two bedroom, one bath floor plans. Approximately 827 square feet.
- Living room (17’x12’): Furniture includes a couch, chairs, coffee table and two end tables.
- Kitchen (10’x9½’): Dining table with three chairs, pantry, full-size stove and refrigerator, double sink and lots of cabinet space.
- Bathroom: Shower and toilet.
- Basic utilities and wireless Internet are provided
- On-site laundry facilities

Brazos Community is Texas State Technical College’s residential community for married students and those with dependents under the age of 16 residing with them. All homes are unfurnished, but they do come with central heat and air, stoves, refrigerators and washer/dryer connections. There is a laundromat located on campus for residents’ convenience.
Brazos Community is in the Connally Independent School District. Families are encouraged to check out their website for enrollment information and important dates; www.connally.org. We do our best to work with the families to get moved in so their students are here and ready for the first day of class.
The student rate is for current TSTC students who are taking at least nine credit hours.
Getting Started:
- Complete the Brazos Community Application from Campus Living.
- Pay $55.00 application fee for each person to occupy the home who is 17 yrs or older.
- Return completed application and copy of application fee receipt to Campus Living
Upon approval:
- Pay security deposit equal to one month rent.
- Select Residence
- Set up Electric Service (water, sewage, and garbage pick-up are included in rent)
- Pay first month’s rent. Residents moving in after the 21st of the month are required to pay the prorated amount for that month plus next month’s rent.
- Provide copies of identification, such as a driver’s license, for each person over the age of 17 years, birth certificates for all children staying in the home or to show relation for siblings or other non-spouse relatives living together.
- Provide proof of renter’s insurance with a minimum $100k personal liability coverage.
- Sign lease, this includes everyone living in the house over 17 years of age.

- Complete and return Condition Report

Applying for student housing
Students living in campus housing will need to purchase a meal plan. Plan options and requirements vary by campus, check your campus on the link for guidelines and requirements.
If you’ve already lived off campus or have other living arrangements, you may request to live off-campus. Fill out this form and return it to the Housing Office in the Student Services Center.
We know circumstances sometimes change. If you find you will not be needing housing, you can request a deposit refund. Fill out this form to request a refund.
Complete the Village Oaks Priority Agreement form (required for all Griffith Hall and Red River Apartment applicants).
