Internship or Co-operative?

TSTC partners with employers to offer both internships and co-operative experiences:

Internships may be paid or unpaid and are typically completed while students are enrolled in classes. These experiences allow students to observe and apply the skills they’ve learned in a real-world work environment.
Co-operatives (Co-ops) are paid, more immersive experiences that usually require students to take a semester away from classes. Co-ops focus on intensive, hands-on application of skills combined with on-the-job training.

Internship and co-op structures may vary by campus and program. Through the Job Location and Development Program, employers receive support in developing and launching internship, co-op, and part-time opportunities that meet both business and student needs.
