Keep it cool and see green.

Be a solution to the energy crisis that affects us every day.

This industry is heating up.

Being efficient with energy is a win-win for everyone. If you choose to be an Energy Auditor, you’ll be conducting energy audits of buildings, building systems or process systems. Energy Engineers, however, design, develop or evaluate energy-related projects or programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during construction. You’ll find it helpful to specialize in electrical systems; heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems; green buildings; lighting; air quality; or energy procurement.

In as few as two semesters, you can earn a certification in Energy Efficiency Specialization, giving you the power to control your own future. The program offers a specialization in energy checks and home energy efficiency. With new regulations created daily throughout the nation and in Texas, the program certifies and trains you to perform energy audits, improve home efficiency and execute other important energy-related functions. You’ll learn basic construction knowledge, how building components can fail, and how to evaluate and remediate that failure. This is also a great program for homeowners interested in learning how to maximize the efficiency of their homes.
