Do you use your drone for business or commercial use?  If the answer is yes, you are flying under FAA Part 107 rules.  Part 107 is the set of guidelines for flying Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) (less than 55 lbs.) in the United States.  To become an FAA certified drone pilot, you will need to study for and take the 2-hour, 60-question FAA written test.  Our three-day course will prepare you to acquire your FAA commercial drone pilot license.  In addition to two days of instruction, the final day of class is dedicated to hands on flight training.  You will have the opportunity to fly the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and a DJI Inspire 2.

Drones are becoming commonplace in search and rescue operations.  Using drones allows SAR teams to operate beyond the limitations of ground crews.  Not to mention being much more efficient, drones also offer a cheaper alternative to traditional air and ground operations.  In this course, you will obtain hands-on experience in search and rescue scenarios, thermal imaging, night operations, and mapping software.  In addition to the classroom instruction, you will have the opportunity to fly a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise, and/or DJI Matrice 210 RTK.

**Prerequisite: must have FAA Part 107 certificate before taking this course unless your department plans on operating under a COA**
