Slice and dice your way
to a new career.
The world loves to eat. You love to cook. You’ve found the right kitchen.
A recipe for success.
Did you know that Americans are spending more money dining out than buying groceries? Texas’ culinary industry employs large numbers of skilled workers and with these recent trends, those numbers will continue to sizzle. Let's get cooking!
In TSTC’s Culinary Arts, you’ll learn both basic and specialized culinary principles and techniques, and get hands-on experience in food preparation, menu planning, catering, butchering skills, sauce creation, sugar and chocolate work, cake decorating, the artistry of plate presentation and more. You can find a career in a variety of areas, including restaurants, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, catering, health spas, schools, hospitals and as personal chefs.
Culinary Arts at TSTC in Abilene is being phased out and is pending SACSCOC approval for closure. Students are encouraged to contact their Enrollment Coach for more information.
